Let’s start off on a fun foot! When you are making the decision to work on project with a person – whether that project has a long projection or short one – you should at least like the person. How do you know if you’ll like them if you don’t know them? Sometimes it’s easier to break the ice if you know a little bit about the person that is serving you rather than just the suit in front of you. So here it goes. Here are 12 things that you likely didn’t know about me.
My favorite animal is a cow. It has been since I was a kid. Iām not exactly sure whyā¦they smell and are very dirty but kind of cute in their own little way.
Iām not a fan of Apple products. Iāve tried themā¦I really have. I bought an iPad. Tried it. Hate it. So now my kids us my iPad. However, after 16 years of using Android after Android I switched.
I know. It took me days of anxiety-ridden research. And I took the leap and I am so glad I did. I love my fruit phone now! Of course, 3 weeks after I upgraded, a newer model came out.
Such is life, right?
I have an Associate Degree from Northwestern Michigan College (2003) and a bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Central Michigan University (2008).
I am a planner. And lists. I like to know what is coming up in my schedule and I like to stick with it. Itās difficult for me to stray from a plan once I have it in my head that is what I was going to do.
I hate driving. If I could be driven everywhere, that would be an ideal situationā¦however, thatās never going to happen, so I drive. Although I have found that when I get a chance to be alone in my car – I really enjoy that! Jamming out to my 90s pop music is my ultimate getaway
I like to sing and dance. I really probably shouldnāt. Like, really shouldnāt. But I do anyway. My dancing is something like Elaineās moves from Seinfeld. Itās not pretty but itās fun! And entertaining for others too!
I love the Golden Girls. Always have and always will. I actually own all 6 seasons on DVD. Okay, so this is not something one would typically brag about, but hey, Rose would want me to. I love everything about that show. I love that itās about a bunch of old ladies (who are actually in their 50s and 60s and look a lot older than their characters ages ā and they act older, tooā¦but maybe thatās what people their age did in the 80s?) that arenāt afraid to talk about homosexuality, sex, men, and they know the true meaning of friendship.
I hate clutter. If you were to look at my house, you wouldnāt know this is a peeve of mine. Clutter is everywhere! Apparently this happens when you are not the only one that is living in the house. Mail on the counter, toys on the floor, in the dryer and on the bathroom counter; clothes on the couch ā dirty or not? Who knowsā¦do the smell test to find out
(isnāt that funny that when you become a mom, you will smell anything and not think twice about it?) There is clutter in all rooms of my house – EXCEPT my office and my bathroom. Trying to train little people to pick up after themselves is proving to be a battle.
I am a new plant mom. I used to kill cactus but recently I have actually been able to keep several plants alive and even to thrive if you can believe it. Unless it’s basil. I have tried to grow it from seed and additionally I have purchased five (maybe more) plants and I just cannot keep it from dying.
I have an irrational fear of squirrels. Yes, the cute little rodents with the fluffy tails that jump from branch to branch in the suburban trees. I once worked in Downtown TC and had to park on a residential side street and walk to work (so I wouldnāt have to pay for parking)ā¦during these walks to work squirrels would be jumping from limbs and onto the sidewalk in front and in back of me. My imagination runs quite wild so as you can imagineā¦I was attacked quite a few times by these giant, rabid squirrelsā¦often on the face and their little claws wouldnāt come offā¦oh man those nightmares were horrible.
I have a sensitive heart . I tend to make my decisions based on my emotions and how my decision would make others feel before using logic and reasoning. Iām learning to say āNoā to some thingsā¦like volunteering and going out and simply not doing things that I donāt want to do just to please someone else. This is tough – especially when it effects my littles, but sometimes you just have to say no.
I must have my coffee. I am really not a morning person. After one cup, Iām generally okay to talk to
, but after two you can consider yourself safe
. Unfortunately, I think on most mornings, Tommy has taken after his mom on this personality traitā¦still too young to give coffee too but I can see us having coffee dates in the future.
